A fellow contacted me about redness...so I'm adding this comment to help clarify.
Redness is common particularly in red complected people, like northern europeans...not so much in dark skin people like me. Generally peaks at about 6 weeks, longer in younger, shorter in older people. I just saw 2 people I'd rebuilt their noses recently after skin cancer, both around 7 weeks out. The 70 year old looks like nothing was done, well healed and scar fading nicely, the 43 year old has a red nose....will take a few more months to fade. Same thing happens with recipient areas AND scar lines too.
You'd think as often as I give that talk I wouldn't have needed notes in the video.
