Minoxidil suggestions
Hey all,
I am an 18 year old who has been suffering from hair loss since I've been about 15. I've been on propecia for a little over 18 months and it has definitely stabilized my hair loss and regrown hair in my crown area. I've been using nizoral for a month and since then vellus hairs on my temples have become more apparent.
I want to start minoxidil 5% and I was wondering whether I should go for foam or liquid, and where is the best place to purchase it for the price. I keep my hair medium-short to medium length most of the time and I wash my hair every other day. Since I've heard that liquid minoxidil can be greasy, would it be best to try foam for me?
Thanks

Also would there be any adverse effects from switching from brand name Rogaine to kirkland brand minox?

I think liquid is slightly more effective but foam is SO much more convenient.

Kirkland will do just as fine as Rogaine. Only downside of kirkland is the higher Propylene glycol percentage which can be irritating for some people. I use kirkland works perfect really and is extremely cheap too.

I just received some Kirkland foam. I was considering using foam in the morning and liquid at night, or maybe just foam morning and night depending on how convenient the application is and whatever residual product stays in my hair.

Rogaine Foam 5% from ebay will be your best choice in my opinion!
But make sure do enough research and maybe see a doctor before doing it!

I've been using kirkland foam in the morning and the liquid at night for a few days. I have hair around 2 inches long and it seems like the liquid especially is mostly getting caught in my hair. Is there a way to ensure that I absorb the product into my scalp?
I got a headache the first few times applying minox but they've stopped happening.

Some people said use dryer. Not sure!
why dont you just staying with the foam?
are they 5%?

They're both 5%. The liquid is a little easier to "see" being applied. Some people believe to liquid to be more effective so I'm trying it out. Also it's a bit cheaper for the same amount of supply as foam, I may switch to foam exclusively if I find it to be more practical.
