    Default 26 years old/treatment ideas

    Hi,

Tagged is a photo of my hairline. I have been slowly balding for around 9 years. I have taken rogaine and nizoral inconsistently in the past. I was wondering if propecia would be a worthwhile investment in my current state of hairloss? any opinions are well appreciated.

Adding Fin couldn't hurt. If you respond well to it and don't get side effects maybe you could get a transplant in a year or so and look like you have a full head of hair. If you get side effects or it doesn't work you can always stop taking it and then you're in the same situation you are in now.

If I responded well could i grow most of the hair back or is transplant realistically the only option right now?

You can look at my before and after pics from fin in a previous thread I started if you want to get an idea of how much hair you can potentially regrow with fin. There are also some great before and after pics for fin on Dr. Bernsteins website. You might regrow a lot more hair with Dut, but you will also have a higher chance of side effects. There is a guy named nickypoo on hair loss talk who regrew his entire hairline with Dutasteride. RU58841 is also supposed to work well. Ultimately there is really only one way to find out how much hair you will grow back. If I was in your exact situation, I would go to my doctor and get prescribed generic proscar to be cut into 4ths. If you get regrowth and no sides you can try Dut or get a transplant. If you get regrowth and sides you can drop fin or try supplements to counter the sides. If you get no regrowth and no sides at least you tried, and then you can try dut or RU. Also you can try concealers like Toppik and Dermmatch to make your hair look more full.

Thanks for the advice Mike. I'm planning on scheduling a doctors appointment Monday.
