"He says that there are already prescription antiasthma drugs available, which work by reducing PGD2 levels. The presence of those treatments should help accelerate the baldness cure's availability in stores."

Here's the thing... MPB often takes decades to fully develop. Consumers have come to expect instant results as in the case of pain relief... Take a Tylenol and the headache's gone in half an hour. I believe results from any new breakthrough "cure" could take a great deal of time.

Beclomethasone (Qvar®)
Budesonide (Pulmicort®; Symbicort® – combination budesonide and formoterol- a long-acting beta2-agonist)
Flunisolide (Aerobid®)
Fluticasone (Flovent® HFA; Advair® – combination fluticasone and salmeterol -a long acting beta2-agonist)
Mometasone (Asmanex®)
Triamcinolone (Azmacort®)
Fluticasone and Triamcinolone have a listed side effect of excessive hair growth in women. Both of these drugs can be administered via inhaler. A little gets on the girl or lady's face and a moustache begins to develop. Perhaps in the tradition of minoxidil and bimatoprost (developed to treat other conditions), an anti-asthma drug will do better and end up being a slow cure for male pattern baldness.
