Default Getting DHT levels tested (UK)

6 months into taking 1.25mg fin/ day and I'm not yet convinced that I've had any results. An easy way to establish whether or not fin is working for me would be to have my DHT levels tested. Has anyone managed this in the UK?

It's only useful if you know your DHT levels before, else you can't see what Fin has done for you.

If you dropped fin for a week, had your DHT levels tested, then resumed fin and had your DHT levels tested after another week, this would prove whether or not it is effective for you. I'm just not sure how to convince a GP to test my levels for me.

Well his DHT should be below the normal range on fin so it's not completely useless

Seeing a doc for hair loss is not a fun experience its a big part of why I havent done it yet. You walk in there and odds are the doctor himself is bald and will probably think your joking if he even knows what propecia is. Then they of course use it to hook you into annual or semi annual appointments so you have to keep coming back and paying for refills when you basically have nothing to really go there for. Most doctors given the problems they face really see MPB as a pretty trivial non important thing. In comparison to the severity of some of it they might be right, even though we know most of us dont like it
Im not a big fan of doctors. I think I went once in like the last 5-10 years. most of the time they dont know whats wrong with you either
