    Default Minimizing shed periods

Going through me second shed phase and just trying to minimize the damage done/hair loss during this period.

I've started only washing my hair once every two days 3 if im not going out and can get away with it. Letting hair dry naturally rather than with towel or heat. Just being generally softer with my hair.

How do you minimize your shed period?

I don't, I just deal with it. I wash and towel dry as I usually would, and rub in minoxidil the same way I always do. Sheds suck, but it sounds like they are the norm at least for the first couple of years on treatments.

How long have you been shedding hair while using Propecia? There are some things you can do to extend the anagen phase. Studies indicate that men with MPB have considerably more hair in the telogen phase than those without any hair loss. Bimatoprost for instance doesn't grow new hair but rather increases the caliber and lengthens the anagen phase of existing hair. The stuff's way too expensive IMO. Buried Treasure has a product called Hair Skin and Nails that may be of value.

I would wash my hair once a day, blow dry on medium heat and then rub Rogaine foam into the dry scalp. You should also massage your scalp. I used to "baby" what little hair I have and noticed that it grows considerably better when I'm not so gentle. Massage and brushing should improve hair growth.

you use minox? it keeps anagen phase for longer than otherwise would be the case, adding on fin can be good man as long as it doesn't ruin ur scalp health...even if u dont see huge benifits it certainly buys you a lot of time. Under rated IMO everyone should try minox

That would be a tremendous breakthrough to be able to control growth or shedding cycles in anyway. Age, overall health, and medications most likely play a role in these cycles.
