I still don't understand this scarless thing, I had my FUE two months ago and I shave my head completely because I'm in the post-shedding phase of the HT. Even with a magnifying glass, you wouldn't be able to find any scars. This just sounds like a marketing argument to me.

Don't hesitate Shookones, I think pilofocus won't be available to the public widely and at a reasonable price before a long, long time.

Maybe you got lucky, i.e. maybe you have the right healing characteristics and skin color. Clearly everyone isn't so lucky as there *are* people with visible white dots from FUE.

Also, the growth comparison table from Dr. Wesley's presentation is pretty impressive -- lower transection, higher and faster growth.

Of course, all this is for nothing until the procedure hits the market.

It's disheartening to see that artista was supposed to start the last trial end if spring and it's now middle of summer. We have heard nothing in a year when we were supposed to see the presentation they saw, last December.

I don't agree, fred970 is speculating on price and timelines, nobody here has a clue and fred970 is particularly biased to FUE since he's had a good one. Which is okay but you need to know where he's coming from.

Pilofocus won't show scars (plural) it'll just show 1 small scar. The incision where he goes in to get the grafts from underneath. Its a genius concept and will be better than normal FUE at some point. What I do agree with is that we don't know when this will be available. I'd rather one small scar than thousands of FUE scars.

So if you do get FUE just get enough to see you through to a better technology comes along. Don't EVER EVER EVER rush into any hair transplant ever. AND if you are getting an FUE done you want to make damn sure its done by somebody REAAAAAALY good because there are just as many FUE horror stories now as FUT.

Not so much scaring stories but stories where people don't get good graft survival rates. Rassman seems trustworthy for FUE.

Looks like this is being taken seriously. The Verge is a huge Tech and Science site. They cover some cutting edge stuff. Very cool!

Watching him concentrate, I wonder whether Wesley’s work in this little corner of science is worth it. After all, he estimates that piloscopy may cost a patient upwards of $20,000 out of pocket, and it isn’t exactly a life-saving procedure.
$20000? If I hadn't had my FUE already, this what I would say: I'm out.

Hopefully he means $20,000 for an entire solution and many thousands of grafts.

" may cost a patient upwards of $20,000 out of pocket". I guess I'll just hope that that would be enough for a lot of grafts.. although I have to admit the pictures before/after on his site don't look as amazing as i thought it would be

    Hello everyone,
Sorry that i haven't been active here in a while.
My wife and I have been so busy with our new home improvements and renovations.
Also the work load at my regular job has been outrageous..tons of overtime etc etc.

I just heard back from Dr Wesley early this morning friends!
Apparently the phase testing may be happening this month after-all!
Keep in mind , I am not surprised that Dr Wesley had been so delayed in the next phase of testing.
He has been so busy with the very important task of his instrumentation updating and finalization.
As Ive said,,once I am able,,I will update everyone here.
I cant wait to be one of his test-patients for this amazing new method.
    Fingers crossed guys!!
    Cheers
