Default Crescina - has anyone tried it?

There was an article about this in a Danish newspaper today, it's coming out soon in Denmark and will be available in pharmacies.

It was qouted to have a strong effect. 100 % of the test subjects regrew hair after 3-4 months. After 4 months they had an average regrowth of 10,7% and the pulling resistance was increased with 46,8%.

    From the youtube link:

"Crescina Re-Growth HFSC *is a cosmetic product for topical use. It contains the heart of patented Crescina Re-Growth, which facilitates the physiological growth of the hair. A part of the patented active principles is inserted within specific carriers that allow for its gradual, ongoing release into the scalp ("retard" action). The proper functioning of the stem cells contained in the follicle is essential for the growth of new hair.

Recommended in cases of thinning due to physiological rather than pathological causes. Does not act on completely atrophied follicles.

Specific formulas for men and women.
    Available dosages: 200 -- 500 -- 1300

*Result after 4 months of in-vivo clinical/instrumental double-blind testing, randomized and controlled with a placebo on 46 subjects (23 treated with the Crescina HFSC product and 23 with the placebo). The male subjects presented levels of thinning at grades II, III, III vertex and IV of the Hamilton-Norwood scale. All of the subjects recorded positive results from a minimum of +7 to a maximum of +41 new hairs growing in an area subject to an electronic count of 1.8 cm². The results of the test are statistically significant."

This is the paper referred to - http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3680633/

Is there anyone that can work out how much it costs for a course of this, I can see some products on amazon.co.uk but it doesn't seem clear what one needs to buy?

    Thanks,

This article is from October 2007. I can't comment on how effective the product is, but seeing as it's been around for a while and no one is talking about it, I doubt it's any good.

You are probably right, but as I understand it, the product mentioned in your link is not the same as mentioned in the Danish newspaper.

Here are the different products http://www.labosuisse.com/Crescina_Base_int.aspx

But I am as skeptical as you.

Ah right I didn't realise it was a different product.

I hear you, I'm still sceptical too. I hope I'm wrong and this actually does something, but far too many of these products come out and prove to be useless

This just looks like a rebranded Neogenic product.

Remember how that one turned out?

Nothing to get excited about. At all.

It's confusing because on the labo website linked above there is crescina regrowth but then there is crescina hfsc regrowth which appears to be a new and apparently unreleased product which is what was used in the study I linked in my previous post, the results of which don't look/sound too bad

I can't understand why people aren't being a little more exercised over this, lord knows we've had more hoo-ha over a lot less on this forum.

This product, the Crescina HFSC (studied in this paper http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3680633/) not the Crescina regrowth mentioned in the Belgravia centre post, gives 10% extra growth across most subjects, what else mentioned on these boards does that?
