Oral Minoxidil (loniten)

So i'm gonna start taking oral minoxidil at low dose (5mg)
i heard some doctors (Dr. Pathomvanich ) use it on their patients and if they don't develop bad side effects then they let them on it, i have read that the result are incredible!
my only concern are that i heard that minox can cause heart damage, but i don't understand why ? is it because of water retention or something else?
another concern is the aging sking/bag under eyes is this for real or just another made up story by these hypochondriac from propeciahelp ?

Minoxidil is a medication used to lower blood pressure by causing vasodialation. In other words it is an antihypertensive. I would imagine there is a greater chance of it causing cardiac effects when taken orally versus topically.

Oral minoxidil causes left ventricular hypertrophy. Iirc it's caused by the tachycardia that comes about from oral minox use, but I'm not a physician so take that with a gigantic grain of salt.

I use it and it's effective, but the side effects certainly aren't insignificant. I wouldn't recommend using it. I personally haven't noticed any facial aging, but I haven't been using it for a particularly long time and am on quite a heavy skin care regimen anyway, so its effect on my face may not be indicative.

why did you stop it ? what were your dosage and for how long ?

According to Dr.Path the effects on heart and blood pressure were minimal at 5mg
