Hi all, new to the site and I was NW7 at the age of 23, now 39. I joined especially because I am particularly intrigued by the social impact of hair loss. And throughout my young adulthood I must say I ended up traumatised again and again and again.
I honestly had no personal insecurities or embarrassment resulting directly from balding, or going about with a horseshoe for over 15 years. But given people's sometimes extreme reactions to me as a person, it could be a contributing factor. Maybe part of a chain effect, and such significant balding at a young age could be a big link in the chain.
I appreciate that for me there were other factors too, but as far as hair loss is concerned I realised mainly in retrospect just how big a role it might have had. This is because I have been shaving my head for the past 6 months, usually on zero guard, and people's reactions to me have totally changed and were apparent right from the moment I shaved my head. Let's say things have been much more "human" for me since then.
