    Default Iontopherosis community trial

    Hi guys,

I thought I would create a new thread for this rather than use the Piloxxl thread.

It seems that Iontopherosis devices can increase the amount of minoxidil that reaches the hair follicle from 120ng to 600ng per follicle. There is a study on the use of these devices for hairloss that can be found here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23450524

This website is also very good: http://link.springer.com/chapter/10....-007-5076-0_66

It seems that iontopherosis combined with zinc and copper ions form the basis of the new Piloxxl device (whether or not this device works is yet to be seen).

I am going to follow the users of the Greek forum and purchase an iontopherosis device from Ebay which I am going to use with minoxidil with MX sulphate and zinc to help reduce DHT in the follicle. I might also start using Nizoral again to help reduce DHT.

I definitely think there is some genuine science behind this (just do your own google searches on iontopherosis & hair). There hasn't been much in the way of medical breakthroughs recently but I definitely think there is something behind this.

What are peoples thoughts on this? Anyone think of any ways to improve it or fancy joining me?

The more I research this the more I am fascinated by it. It seems that the use of zinc ions isn't to lower DHT but it is to regenerate new tissue: http://ptjournal.apta.org/content/61/3/359.extract

If zinc iontopheresis works, and its a big IF, then it possibly means it will work for slick baldies.

Does anyone know to do zinc iontopherosis with a regular device? How do I go about creating the zinc ions? I don't think crushing up zinc would do the trick. There are plenty of medical websites on zinc iontopherosis so I am sure we can find details somewhere

Post a link to the device that you'll be using. Try and be descriptive and specific. There's no room for being vague with such initiatives.

I dont think there is much doubt the vehicles and delivery mechanisms are a major limiting factor in almost all topical treatments effectiveness right now. If you got the CB 03 01 chemical and used Iontopherosis you would get much better results then the common vehicles the do it yourself people use. Cosmo found other treatments worked much better when done with Iontopherosis I think

These devices, I talked about last year after we realized hydro electrophoresis was used for Cosmo's CB trials. There we're some people that said these eBay iontophoresis devices are ineffective and cheap.

To be fair, nobody used them either.

Probably worth a shot, some kind of experiment, but please remember to keep expectations at absolute rock bottom, particularly as Pilox looks like snake oil bollocks. People got far too wound up about last year's community trial with dermarolling (also bollocks).
