Default 5 days post op FUE very itchy? Some help/advice please

    Hi,

I'm now on my 5th day post FUE technically 6th seeing as its so early in the morning. So far everything has been great, pain has been minimal etc.

However starting yesterday my whole head is genuinely unbearably itchy. I haven't slept tonight as I can't. Just wondering if this is normal? Or if anyone has any suggestions?

I've emailed the clinic but waiting to hear back. It all appears to look "normal".

Really would appreciate some help guys

    Thanks

    ukcali,

The itching sensation is very normal and a good sign that you are healing well.

You can try to keep your scalp more moist with an aloe vera based cream and your clinic may suggest something else but our scalps tend to be more dry post-op so anything that can alleviate the itching sensation will help greatly.

Just try to refrain from using products that have alcohol additives because that can compound the itching.

Congrats on your procedure and the best is yet to come...the regrowth!

I found that 100% Aloe Vera Spray (Whole Foods in the Skin Care area) was the best for that stage of my HT. Good luck.

IMHO the spray form is more ideal compared to the available creams and shampoos because of the high level of concentrate.

    Thanks guys,

I took as high a dosage of painkillers as I could as well as a antihistamine tablet (not sure if it would make any difference but I was happy to try anything) and then used Aloe Vera it made a big difference.

    Thanks again
