Irratation From Min

Switched to the foam about 4 months ago. I found it a little easier to use than the liquid. Suddenly came up with some itching and sensitivity in the area that I apply it to. Instructions say to discontinue use if this happens. Anybody experience this? Is it permanent or should I just lay off for a while.
As an aside. I have been using this stuff for a number of years and I have not experienced any new growth that I can see. It is possible that it may be slowing my hair loss, but I would not know unless I stopped. What hair I have is turning gray and I think by nature gray hair is thinner than brown. But nothing new is coming from my scalp. I have front and top hair thinning and loss at the temples.
