from Avodart to Proscar

OK, it's been like 3 months since I switched back to Proscar from Avodart (I was on Avodart for 14 months, before that about 5 years on Proscar).
I think my hair took a very big hit, I have never ever noticed this much miniaturized hair on my hairline.
I am looking for someone who has done the same switch. I need to know if they also lost a considerable amount like me, how long did they shed and did it ever grow back?
I am also adding a new supplement to my regimen, basically it includes 300 mg saw palmetto and 4 mg isoflavon, you supposedly should take it 2x a day but I've been taking 1x but now I think I'll take the full recommended dose.
I've read some positive things about isoflavon, but 4 mg x 2 a day still seems poor, what do you think?
Also, again I'll appreciate it very much if somone who did the same switch could share his experience.

I'd be carefull with saw palmetto it made me horny and lose hair.

that is strange, did you take it on its own or in combination with fin or dut or maybe other topicals like ru?

I've been on FIN 2 years fine in augut I added saw and it over powered FIN made me super horny and my hair started falling scalp itch etc. I lost a lot hair it's poison!

wow, how long did you stay on saw? I can't imagine it's out powering Fin, I am not even sure if they both have the same working mechanism, some people argue that saw prevents DHT from binding to AR unlike Fin which inhibits the production. and also if it should have any sexual effects you would lose libido instead of getting super horny. maybe you were given a falsely claimed product which did not include any saw at all?
anyways, I need a supplement to my regime along with Fin, it cannot be minox because I tried it and did not respond well and I cannot get a hold of chemicals like Ru, Spiro is out of the question for me as I already have minor cardiac issues. so I am gonna keep trying this supplement which contains saw, biotin, isoflavon, zinc and etc.
