Pink scalp + hair loss?
Anyone else have a pink scalp in areas where thinning? Makes me think something else is speeding up hair loss.

It wouldn't hurt to see a dermatologist to rule out the possibility of a minor infection like fungal. Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo may help. Some men react to minoxidil with redness. A dermatologist could best prescribe a course of action.
To answer your question, I haven't personally had pink scalp in areas of hair loss. Since areas of hair loss catch more of the sun's rays, you may want to consider your level of sun exposure. Here in Georgia it's below freezing, and people aren't generally sunning themselves. Australia and New Zealand of course, is a different story this time of year. What do you think?
