loads of spots after 5 weeks!!
Hey guys. I had my HT surgery around 5 weeks ago. I've been getting red spots on my head, quiet a lot. Does this mean I'm losing grafts?? It doesn't look too healthy. I have been picking them a little.I attached 2 pics for you guys to see. All advice really welcome.

Those are probably zits caused by hairs that are growing in--it's not uncommon. Studies have shown that the grafts are firmly anchored by ten days and can't be pulled out; there's no risk of that at five weeks. Plus, if a graft gets pulled out, you'll definitely see a decent trickle of blood from the site.
Bottom line: you have nothing to worry about.

Your first hair transplant is the most bipolar. There is nothing anyone can say or do to get you to stop thinking about it. You are going to think about it every day for at least 8 months.
The bumps are ingrown hairs and dry scalp . Nothing to worry about . Its perfectly normal everyone gets em.

I second that... Don't worry. MPB programs us men to think hair is fragile. It's not. For instance, our repair patient, went to a doctor out West and had an absolutely horrible hairline grafted. He attempted twice to laser the transplanted hair to death. The laser was completely unsuccessful. Dr. Cole had to surgically remove the grafts over two sessions. It's common to be concerned about growth. Pimples are a part of the process. Once your hair grows in, in my experience it grows better if you don't baby it. Brush it and depending upon your doctor and his recommendations, generally speaking, massage is beneficial as well.

Just wanted to add that as tempting as it can be to pick/squeeze at the pimples, it is best to leave them alone and just let time take care of them.
The best is yet to come and best wishes to you on the regrowth...

As long as your scalp can breathe, it should be fine...
