Default Hair Transplant Done - Can I Go Back to the Gym?

    Hello,

Can someone please provide advice on my question below? I am 3 weeks and 3 days post-op from a 3,000 graft HT. Can I safely go back to the gym, including weight lifting and cardiovascular exercise (treadmill, etc.)? My doctor's office said I am clear to go, but my paranoia insists that I ask this community! :-)

    Appreciate any help and advice,

    TeeJay

From everything I've read, it seems like your fine to start exercising. And I'm sure that's the advice you would give to someone else who was asking the same question! Congrats on getting the HT. Who did you get to perform it, and when are you going to post pics?

    Hey thanks River!

And I think you're dead-on right man. I think I just needed to hear it from a fellow community member. I waited just a few days past 3 weeks post-op before hitting the weights again. By that time, my grafts are so anchored that a meteor could strike my head and they still wouldn't get dislogded.

Thanks for the congrats man. I have had 2 HTs with IAHRS docs and both of them were awesome, comfortable, excellent experiences. My 1st was with Doctor McAndrews and my most recent with Doctor Alexander. I'll get some before/after pics up soon, but I want to wait until my new hair grows in. That way, you can all see the results.

What's up with your hair man? HTs? Propecia?

Dr Alexander has done some impressive work, so I'm sure your new transplant will end up looking excellent.

I am definitely looking at getting a hair transplant in the future, but so far I've been able to treat my hair loss sucessfully with propecia and dermMatch. Before I started propecia in February I was developing into a norwood 3, but now my bald spot is filling in with thicker terminal hair. My hairline density has improved as well. I know that the results will likely decline over time, but right now i am pretty happy.

    Hi TeeJay,
How is the hair transplant so far? Have you gone back to the gym full force yet?
