    Progress on Donor Regeneration

Any updates in regards to Donor regeneration from the likes of Dr. Cole, Dr. Nigam and Dr. Wesley? What is the scenario for 2014-2015 and what is to be expected? I am particularly interested in the progress been made for Dr. Wesley in this area.

Also what is to be expected from donor regeneration, I've heard something like the regeneration of 40%+ follicles extracted, how plausible is this? Say you get a FUE hair transplant of 2,000 grafts, does this mean that 800 grafts will grow back to their original state and will be able to be used in future?

And lastly what is the difference between donor regeneration and doubling, and which would be the best long term solution?

AFAIK, we'll have some kind of confirmation on Pilofocus by around April. Hopefully this includes regeneration.

Interesting, but confirmation of what - that it simply works, or a possible release in April or soon after?

Gosh it'd be great if we had like a article/scientific data only section. I hate seeing posts like this that possibly offer great news with a title such as "progress in donor regen" only to open it and see questions like "when will it be released??"

Sometime in early/mid Spring of this year I will be one of Dr. Wesley's Pilofocus phase test patients.
I will be sharing my experiences here of course.
          Everyone, be positive.

Probably you will need to sign a confidentiality agreement...

He pretty much let the cat out of the bag with some of the presentations he made to the public... and the video of one of the presentations on Vimeo... confidentiality or not, all we care about is donor regeneration. The rest is just bonus.

I think there are good reasons you could never visit these forums for a year or more and basically not miss anything. Most of the cutting edge threads are just the usual hype stories and tons of speculation. You would not miss anything because nothing new ever really comes out other then plenty of snake oils

Hi Csoul, that is always a possibility.
Keep this in mind, any donor regeneration would be a bi-product of what Dr Wesley has been creating with his new form of FUE 'scar-less' surgery.

What is the hold up with Wesley starting to administer PiloFocus method now??? Regeneration or not, I don't understand why scarless FUE sessions can't begin within the next 6 months

                      Hi Sparky4444,,
I believe the phase testing is ongoing for Dr Wesley's updated endoscopic instrumentation. The instruments are still be updated. There is a wait time until the tools are ready for the next phase testing.

That's interesting. Do you know what types of changes and why?

Considering they said this MIGHT be ready for late 2013, but more so for 2014 is disappointing in that now it's maybe late 2014 but more likely for 2015...

                          ...what a let down..

Got a link to where it says more likely 2015?

                              Hi Kiwi
No, I dont know any of the technical specs concerning instrumentation updating.
Sparky' has someone stated that the Pilofocus updating would not be ready until 2015? If that was stated -It isn't true.
