I think this comment is quite true.
Though Propecia has fixed my initial problem.
I'm now looking for problems in my hair that aren't there

personally, I tried to set realistic goals - to round out the right side of my hairline and thicken up the left, along with thickening my cowlick - and if I get there I'll be a hell of a lot happier. That's where my hair was before I started worrying about if anyone knew I was receding or not, and couldn't care less even though I was rocking a nw2ish at 19-20. Although, I think half of the mental problem with this balding deal is the power of information. I see tons of balding dudes that either have no idea what's going on, or don't care - and they seem less freaked out than I am. And I was one of those people last year. Now I might save it, but I'm a lot more stressed out about it.

        Top results

Some fantastic results there! I started taking propecia about the same time as you and have seen almost identical results! I wish I had taken decent photos before and after like you have to show. I also started using the monoxidil however found that applying it twice a day was hard as it is a little greasy so have stopped using that, yet seen no thinning in my newly grown hair which is down to sticking with the propecia. I find also using nanogen fibres to have a quite remarkable effect and my hair has honestly not looked so thick and full in about 6 years!

My doctor on a private prescription. Was easy to get and my doctor was fantastic with his advice. I had a few concerns with what I read on the Internet and felt a lot more confident once I had spoken to him.

That's interesting thanks. So is that about £50 per month then ?

I did chat with my GP ages ago. He wasn't very helpful, just said every drug has a side effect, and I should "go for it"

                            Congratulations man

I'm almost 4 months in myself, and I really don't think it's gotten worse so there's that.

Your results are fantastic I hope for something like that.

                            Good luck

Wow, great results. Your hair should really be a good lesson for those who are curious about what they can potentially get from this. If you look at your initial pictures from the other thread, ya, lots of miniaturization, but that was mostly what it was. As long as the hair is still alive, rogaine and fin can work miracles in restoring a miniaturized hair. I would have guessed from the start based on the way your hair looked that it could potentially come out very well. I just notice a lot of people who complain about the big 2/3, they generally don't have much miniaturized hair even left. It's dead and gone. At that stage it's so much more difficult to get those real strong results. About the best you can hope for is getting some vellus growth from Rogaine and using Fin, maybe some of that Vellus growth goes terminal. I'm noticing the same thing with my hair now and I'm about 4 months in however I did go a full year about 3 years ago. In the areas the hair is miniaturized but the follicle is not dead, great results. In the areas in which the follicle is so essentially dead, I think about the best I can hope for is Fin thickening up whatever Rogaine is capable of producing. So when they say start young, that's the trick. Even several years into the onset of MPB most of the follicles are still alive, just miniaturized to some level. The Big 3 can REALLY wake those puppies up. Great results man!

I agree with this. I think that is why it is important to set realistic expectations before you start treatment. Many don't and when they don't turn their NW6 into a NW1 after 6 months of treatment they stop and say treatments don't work. We all hope to be one of those great responders we see on the internet, but the odds of that are really low. My hair was crap when I started treatment, so I didn't expect much. At this point, I am pretty satisfied with the results. Satisfied enough to continue.
