Minoxidil scalp irritation as a positive?

Hi ladies and gents,

I was wondering if the scalp irritation that can be caused by minoxidil could have a positive effect in stimulating circulation in the scalp or is it just a negative side effect?

If so would this have any bearing on how well it works?

Thoughts welcome.
