Giving up and I'm ok with it
I'm at a Norwood 3.5 with aggressive thinning, I tried Finasteride and Minoxidil and although they were showing good results the side effects weren't worth it. I felt depressed for no reason and I didn't have a morning wood for months. Once I stopped I was back to normal within 2-3 weeks.
I've realised that keeping my hair was making me look much older than I am, I've shaved it all off and hit the gym hard and I'm feeling much better, had compliments saying I look much better with the shaved look. To everyone else fighting the good fight, good luck.

Bummer that treatment didn't work. With a positive attitude, it doesn't matter too much one way or the other. At least you can say you tried, so you won't have to live questioning what may have happened.
Can you describe how "aggressive" your hair loss was? NW 1 to NW 3.5 in a year? I feel like mine's aggressive (which worries me), but I'm definitely staying the course for a while. Also, how long were you on fin?

I went from a full head of hair to a NW2 when I was 20 8 years ago but it remained reasonably thick up until last year, this year it got to the point where my scalp is visible through my hair all around the top, that's why I tried meds, thinning bothered me more than the receding hairline ever did.

3 months. I'm aware its possible the sides could wear off after longer use but for me it wasn't worth it.

Good for you bud. I am sure you will be happier . Just shave it down.

You didn't give up. you tried everything you can. it's not your fault that there's no good treatment yet.
I'm happy for you... I'm also going to shave my head.

You shaved it down, you are fine with it, you are getting compliments on it, you win, move on. The war against hair loss can be a stressful pain in the butt. Don't fight it if you don't have too. Hopefully one day I will have the courage to do the same.

Glad your new look is going well for you, good luck to you to!
