Garageland,
Your progression photos look great! It is really helpful to see the month by month development, and then to scroll back to see the changes between month 2 and month 8. I also like your side by side photos comparing month 3 to 4.
I have a few questions for you about your recovery process in the immediate weeks following the HT.
First, I've read at H&W's website that I will receive a post-op kit with instructions for the weeks following the procedure. I've also read that it is critical to be extremely gentle with the recipient area during the first 10 days following the procedure to allow the grafts time to anchor, root and establish themselves. Will this be discussed in the post-op kit? How did you clean your scalp during the initial 10 days following your procedures so as not to aggravate or disturb the recipient area? Did you gently massage shampoo in the area, or mix shampoo with warm water and gently pour over the area?
Second, I've heard other members on this website mention the use of spray solutions to keep the recipient area moisturized. Does H&W give you a spray and is that part of the post-op kit, or would you recommend an aloe/vitamin e type of spray? How soon should I start using the spray following the procedure?
These questions may be answered in my post-op kit, so if that is the case, then please disregard. However, if they are not part of the post-op kit I would greatly appreciate how you would recommend approaching the early phase of the recovery period.
