Blood tests and fin

Quick question: is there a blood test that measures DHT? I had a testosterone check last week, and my doc said there wasn't a way to measure for DHT, which surprised me.

Also, he said that fin should lower testosterone generally in addition to lowering DHT. I'd actually heard the opposite--that fin could INCREASE testosterone. Mine was 1,000 at age 31, which is the very high end of the normal range. I've been on fin for 15 months.

Yes there is a test to measure DHT. And yes, test levels can increase as a result of blocking the conversation of test to DHT. At least that is my understanding. Find another doctor.

Well, that's annoying. I've only been going to this guy for a year, and I'm a little annoyed that he wouldn't know the answer to a question so simple as whether you can test for DHT. But I'm encouraged by the test level.
