    Don't worry about washing out the minoxidil. The inactive ingredients are high in alcohol based and oil additives. These additives are what facilitate the delivery of the minoxidil below the scalp's surface. Obviously you would not want to wash your scalp immediately after applying minoxidil.

    The numerous alcohol additives can dry out the scalp and using it twice daily may be the reason for the itchy dry scalp.

    And I too was very surprised to read of the power wash right after surgery. Generally speaking, the grafts need approximately 72 hours before they are anchored enough for a light wash.
