Starting rogaine tomorrow-what to watch out for?

I hear a few people say their allergic or have irritation from rogaine. What is and isn't normal? I'll be using the foam.

I have been using generic minox instead of rogaine. Read the rogaine packaging and it appears the "sides" can be the same. I have been using minox for 6 months now, using both the liquid and foam. Only negatives that I can report are the shed. Don't let this deter you. Shed can/will happen on any of the current treatments. Dandruff and itchy scalp are the main negatives for me. I keep plenty of good shampoos to combat these, but sometimes I still get some flakes and itch. My recommendation would be to make sure you have a good dandruff shampoo while on minox. Head and shoulders didn't cut it for me so I use: Nizoral, Regenepure, Tsal, and Neutragena Daily Control. Yes I have all four of these in my shower right now.

The liquid irritated my scalp a bit at first but I got used to it. Liquid makes my hair look and feel thin as shit while the foam adds faux density and infinitely less greasy.

I had a vicious shed, but it was all shit-tier miniaturized hairs so whatever. Not saying that'll happen to you, but you might expect it. I wouldn't let it deter you though.

Other than that, just expect to not want to apply it sometimes due to laziness, but realize it's important to stay diligent.

      Later, brah.
