Lost more hair after hair transplant

I am currently using Regaine 5% (6 sprays in the morning and the night) and propecia 1mg. The doctor's assistance told me that I can start to cut down on the usage of Regaine after 6 months (to use it once a day only), and gradually can stop using it altogether. So by then, I would be just relying on propecia to retain my hair. Have you heard of anyone who has done this? And does it work?

I was actually thinking to work things the other way round, that is to cut down on propecia gradually before coming to a complete stop of taking it, and to just use Regaine after that.

Propecia and Rogaine are the only two hairloss medications approved by the FDA for treating MPB. The difference is that only Proecia addresses the source of the problem which is DHT, Rogaine (minoxidil) does not.

So if you were to drop one of the two, you don't want to drop Propecia (finasteride) if at all possible. I use both products and have for years which gives me the best combined result. The finasteride I take is still inhibiting DHT effectively and the minoxidil (foam version) still promotes the highest degreee of hair caliber I could attain in my crown.

If you stop Propecia, you definitely will continue to lose your native hair that is receptive to DHT.
