it's a cowlick, I have one running from the side of my head to the top.

Makes having medium length hair on the side almost impossible.

Keep an eye on it, if it starts to thin do something about it.
I'm pretty sure I caught my thinning before it got out of hand and it seems to be recovering very quickly from propecia.

Yes, Redy is right, this is key. Catching the condition EARLY is KEY.

I waited too long, in part because of confusion (what is this...is this really balding?) and denial (nooo...this can't be balding...is it?). Thankfully, I finally faced the face that I would go bald if I did not take action and things are going well now.

I think it is key that young men concerned about balding have a visit with a real, well considered, highly skilled and approved hair transplant doctor. It is well worth the time, effort, and money if the guy is top notch.

Heck, I would go as far as to say that these guys should be the primary care doctors for young men until about the age of 25 or 30! Young men usually have no reason nor incentive to go to the doctor. Until we get older we are generally in good shape and we don't get pregnant, so we don't have all those natural doctor visits revolving around childbirth that young women do.

Treating hair loss could be the thing that gets young men in the door for their other checkups, given that about 50% of us will have to deal with MPB at least to some degree throughout our lives.

are you only on Propecia? I've been taking it a couple of weeks now 0.5mg a day

For the entire head I only am on fin (propecia) with also using keto 1% shampoo (regenpure DR) 2x weekly for the keto. (also see: nizoral)

I'm on 1.25mg right now. Started with .25mg every other day and ramped up to 1mg after about a month. Then after another month I switched to 1.25mg to save money. It's been exactly 4 months now.

I also use Rogaine 2x daily for the hairline, which I want to regrow
