Rogaine once a day?
Is it effective? I hear mixed thoughts and no results or numbers to back up either claim

If you suffer from male pattern baldness, there's no reason why you shouldn't use it. It's a treatment every hair loss sufferers should take to maximize his chances.

But is once a day a waste.

No, I use it once a day and it still allows me to have more hair than if I had never used it.

Using it once/day might also reduce the dry scalp that it can cause. I use it twice a day and the battle with dandruff is constant.

Since I did not want to apply it in the morning, I use it once a day only and before bedtime. I was encouraged by the following results of once a day application on Dr. Bernstein's website.

Sadly I have not seen much improvement but I doubt if twice a day application would have made much difference for me.

Once a day is good and probably about the equivalent of putting on 5% minox once a day and then putting on 2.5% minox on the second time of the day. The half life of minox on the scalp is about 12 hours, so after 12 hours there is still some potency to the minox on your head, half the potency or so. This means it is like having about 2.5% minox on your head for the second 12 hours of the day. 2% is the strength they used to sell for minox and that they still sell for women, so it does have some effectiveness, just not as much as 5% twice a day.

I have posted this elsewhere... A patient of ours mentioned to me, he had a great result using a dermaroller with Rogaine. I plan to try this myself and I think I will first try a .5 needle length.
A doctor has a video warning of the increased absorption of any cream, ointment, medicine, etc., when micro needling. Personally, I'll go easy at first.
