Thanks Con bratha.
Decidedly I'm going to taper off and see if things improve.

I won't respond to your obscenities. Nothing weaker then trying to tell someone off over the internet. Read your own post. First you say that he has tried a bunch of experimentals, then you say minox is his only difference.
Yeah, it is his right to post what ever he wants within the rules of this forum. Never said it wasn't. Excuse me(or like you said eff me) for being a bit frustrated at all the fear spread across this forum.

"Minoxidil made me blind!"
Then
"What?! Can't someone state his experience on a forum?"
Then
Newbie: "I don't want to try minoxidil, because I read it can make you blind"

How on earth is it even slightly possible that you can get tinnitus from minoxidil? Am I missing something here??? There is pretty much only one way to get tinnitus, too much exposure to loud sounds, that's it.

It seems some people would convince themselves of anything to avoid the only treatments we currently have. It's sad because there's nothing else they can do.

I personally think it's absurd to think minox could cause such a side but then again, people questioned me when I stated Propecia gave me puffy nipples and weight gain.
All I can say is that I have been on it for many years and the only side I noticed was forehead wrinkles, slow aging of skin and eye bags. A side I will and learned to deal with because of the maintenance and growth I have gotten.
Anyway, like Con said taper off and evaluate. But man I find it so difficult to believe minox could cause this.

I have tinnitus, and I use minoxidil. I don't think the latter caused the former, but it was rather a loud concert that caused it (it started around a year after I first used minox). Also, I only have one ringing ear, but I apply minox on both sides, so it would not make much sense if it caused the ringing.

Might be a silly answerer, but ya never know...
Just trying to eliminate the obvious... but when you apply your Minoxidil, do you happen to get any in your ear? (tilting your head, etc.?)

I am only taking 200 mg a day, as I'm afraid of making tinnitus worse. Sometimes it seems to lower my tinnitus (or at least I'm thinking it does). I've only been taking it steadily for a month, so the result might change later.
