    Default IAHRS in NY/NJ

Hi, can anyone recommend a IAHRS approved surgeon in NY/NJ area? Am new to this area and am looking to have hair transplant(FUE) done by end of this year. Anyone who has hair transplant done in this area, could you share your before/after pictures along with the surgeons contact details? Really appreciate the help.
Am 30 yrs old and started going bald in the crown region and thinning hair line. Which is better FUE or the strip method? How many grafts will be required to fill in the crown region? Any idea? am more concerned about the crown region than the thinning hair line. Any information would be helpful. Please share.

    Thanks in advance.
    Kevin

The crown area is the toughest to treat with hair transplants because the area usually grows larger with time from age 30 on and a moderately bald crown can often use up a large percentage of your available donor hair.

Which is better FUE or Strip? That depends on the doctor, big time. Your goals, your family history of hair loss, your hair and scalp characteristics, and your budget factor in as well. How long (at what length) do you prefer to wear your hair?

Thank you 35YrsAfter for your reply.

I like to be number 4/5 at the top and 3 on the sides. My budget is around 10-12K and coming to my family history, my father was bald predominantly in the front and not at the crown. I see thinning of hair around the crown and I would like to fill in around the crown if not the crown itself and also the hair line. If I can have fuller hair line and the top then I wouldn't mind the crown.

Can you recommend a good surgeon in NY/NJ region?

    Thank you,
    Kevin

How is the hair on your mother's side of the family?... Your mother's father and her brothers if that applies. I will ask Dr. Cole about a good doctor in the NY/NJ area.

My grand father and uncles have full head of hair.
Does Dr.Cole offer services in Ny? If not, do you guys offer any special package for out of towners like me to come to GA and have the surgery done? I would rather come to GA and have the surgery done by Dr. Cole after I saw reviews about him here and else where. Let me know. Can I call you to talk further?
    Thank you

Yes, please feel free to call me.

Men with a family history of only frontal hair loss are usually among the best candidates for hair restoration surgery. Full heads of hair on your mother's side is a very good thing. We are currently providing some travel reimbursement for out of towners such as yourself. Our patient coordinator has details related to that.
