Default Coconut oil - good or bad

Ive been using coconut oil for 2 years now probably about 4-5 days per week. I just did some more recent research and apparently some people say it covers your hair so it cant breathe and appears thin. Then others say it works well to condition your scalp.

Do you guys have anymore information on this?

PS I also take fin 1.5mg and nizoral 2% once a week so coconut oil is not really my only form of combating hair loss!

coconut oil can be good for hair esp if you gently massage it into scalp. the oil would also help avoid dryness. but once a week should suffice.

If you're looking at it to treat hairloss it does nothing.

I use it with fin 1.25mg and nizoral 2% so if it can help maintain a healthier scalp im all for it but if it does things like block the hair from breathing since it clogs it up then ill stop. Just trying to find an answer for this specifically

I use it as a face moisturizer and as a scalp/hair treatment once a week or so.

The only thing I can find on it "clogging your hair follicles":

"Be sure to wash your hair on a regular basis if you use coconut oil for hair growth. If you don't, the hair follicles in your scalp will become clogged by the oil, which will prevent hair growth." This is from livestrong.com so take it as you will.

Just make sure you wash it out. I don't really consider it a hair loss treatment, it's just a great way to condition and moisturizer your scalp/hair.

I actually only use it right before I wash it so that's good to know.

I haven't been using coconut oil for the last 10 days and my hair looks and feels thicker for whatever reason so I may stop it completely
