The problem with this explanation in my case is that I am hairy as phuk throughout much of my body.

What a stupid theory. There isnt any natural selection in our life style right now, maybe in some places at world where people dies at young ages but not in developed countries.

I can't imagine that, I'm another general social parasite that demonizes baldness and mocks it for my own advantage.

wow thats depressing, clearly knows jack all about how evolution works. and this is our top hairloss hope? How can he cure a genetic condition when he doesn't even have a good comprehension of how genetics work? oh well.

Also I've seen girls with fully shaved heads that looked good as hell. definitely not used to it and have been programmed to like long hair, but bald can definitely be pretty. most girls have smaller and more weirdly shaped heads though.

Oh and natural selection is definitely still acting upon humans, albeit in different ways. whoever made the statement that it's not needs to read about epigenetics. And also realize that most of the world still does not enjoy good living conditions or a long life span.
