I Googled mature hairline and stumbled upon a thread on here where someone posted a picture - a close up - of David Tennant's hairline.

Is that mature, or past mature or what?

Also, is a mature hairline in your early 20's typical? Or should below 25 or so - for a male not affected by MPB - stay juvenile?

I don't think it matters what it normal or not normal, relatively, if it's happening it's happening haha...

The thickness behind the hairline suggests mature hairline, but it could but from using fin/minox/whatever on the hairline before it receded to far and it's been halted.

"Mature hairline" is baldness that stops at the NW1-2 level.

But some people lose hair up to a NW3 and stay their indefinitely. Many guys in my family are NW3s for life, since their early 20's, even my grandfather.

Look at Justin Theroux's hair line. It's a thick NW3 and it's been that way forever, the guy is in his 40's.

I think MPB is very unpredictable, but once you see thinning or a physician finds miniaturization over the top of the scalp and vertex, you can be sure you're balding.
