Default I shaved my head off, but people are always mean~

I've been balding since I am 20 and now I'm 27, hair's been starting to go from norwood 3 to norwood 4. Today I decided to completely shave it off because I'm think if I'm gonna face it eventually, why not right now? I did it, and you know what? My mother saw me today with my bald head and she asked me "why did you do such a thing?" What do you mean why did I do such a thing I'm fxxxking balding what choice do i have. I'm going to be meeting my girlfriend this afternoon, I hope she got something nicer to say~ Anyone had situations like that?

Ask your mom...."why did you decide to give the balding gene to your children, then harass them when they are forced to do something about it?"

Yeah, a year ago when I told my mom that I was this close to completely shave it all have off, she told me she'd kick me out if I did.
She probably wouldn't have, but just to show she'd be upset or angry if I consciously made that that decision. She apparently didn't seem to grasp I don't really have a choice.

My family was entirely supportive when I shaved my head.

They understand how much pain losing all my hair at 21 years old has caused me.

Yeah it's kind of messed up. My mom try to act as if I am not balding when I am clearly balding. She turns a blind eye when all I want is some word of comfort.

I learned a long time ago that my parents aren't the people I should be looking at for comfort for my problem. Talking to my mom just makes me feel shittier. My dad, forget it, he's not hearing it at all. He's too old school for that.

Expect that from people who haven't seen you with your "new look". They will get used to it after seeing you a couple of times.

    Thumbs up

I agree with Notcoolanymore ,,in time if there are people who still cant seem to accept your new look..DISREGARD it.

Does it really matter in the long run ,the CRITICISMS of others?

Same. Mom is sympathetic but in denial....would never acknowledge her son is balding until NW6 probably
Father is like yours, old school and does not understand. Of course he is NW2 pushing 60 years old, wtf does he know?
