Still not sure if I am losing hair?
A few months ago I posted a thread asking whether my hair pattern and certain scenarios meant that I had the dreaded MPB. After getting advice to leave it for couple of months I did and went travelling to America in fact. However now several months down the line I am still no clearer onto what is going on up top.
Bit of history, I am 22 with dark hair and my father and brother both have a full head of hair at norwood 1/2. His father died when he was 7 and although my late granddad did have very thin hair this only progressed from around the age of 70. I always had thick hair as a child and still when I get it cut the barber always thins it with the scissors.
So now I am just as confused as I ever was and it literally changes every day. I find myself always looking in the mirror and at other peoples hair which is irritating. In the shower I know notice quite a few hairs on my hands when washing plus whenever I ruffle my hair or style it with wax/gel I always get a few strands on my fingers.
I have posted some photos, most of which are taken with wet hair and one of them is with it a little longer. I would really appreciate any help or advice on whats going on up there or what I should do from here - take action or how to forget about it. Any questions Ill gladly and openly answer too.

The worst case scenario for your hairline is that it is maturing into a "mature hairline".. Your hairline is probably better than 90% of people even at the age of 20. It's obviously not perfect, though.
The crown very likely looks thinner due to how the hair parts as in a "cowlick" area.
If you really are as freaked out about it as you are, which you shouldn't be at this point, then think about taking a very very low dosage of fin or something. Otherwise forget about it and take a picture every 4 months or so.
I'm not saying you never will lose your hair or something like that, but I wouldn't invest too much thinking into it at whatever stage it is that you are at right now.

Thanks for your reply. I just find the whole 'mature hairline' concept a bit confusing as I don't see the difference between that and a receding one.
I think if I was going to go down the fin route it would be all or nothing really so for now will probably rule that out unless I see anything worse. It just feels different/thinner to how it used to which scares me and that's something I really want to get out my head.

In my opinion, I doubt you will lose a significant amount of hair. It's normal to see a bit of recession sometimes beginning after 13 years of age. My brother in law receded in his twenties quite a lot and it just stopped and stabilized into old age.
If you want, you can do a hair loss evaluation. Call around your area to see if you can get an appointment with a hair restoration physician that uses HairCheck. By comparing the hair mass index of different areas of your scalp, a doctor can usually determine whether or not you have MPB.

My hairline went from perfectly straight to about what yours is at right now about a year ago, I can safely say it hasn't receded since. I don't understand the whole mature hairline thing and I don't even know what the science behind it is but it does seem to be a thing.

Does your hair feel any thinner at the front at all though? I might be interested in getting hair loss evaluation just to put me at ease so has anybody got any more info on that such as cost, companies, reliability etc?

I would do but I live in the UK so Atlanta is a little too far for me! I just don't get it then, if you say this is completely normal then please can someone explain the difference from my pictures to someone who has MPB?
