    18 y/o Hairloss

Hi everybody im 18 and im experiencing hair shedding, I had pretty thick hair before and then about 1 and a half months into uni last year (October 2012), I noticed more hairs in my hand when I was shampooing about 3 or 4 which was odd for me and I looked in the mirror while my hair was wet and it looked significantly less dense than it just had a month ago, anyways I got the standard blood test done and my iron was quite low 39 on a scale of 15-300 and TSH level was 3.33, anyways I've been continually shedding for a year and the only derm I saw thought I just went through a bout of telogen effluvium which I doubt cause the hair shedding has not subsided, My recent tests indicate an iron of 84 although the lab report still says Possible iron deficiency and to look bc.guidlines.ca. I don't have a strong history of baldness in the family although my dad is like NW3 or 4 and hes almost 50, I haven't noticed any hairline recession just seem to be losing hair everywhere, just wanted an opinion of what you guys suspect, Posted are the pictures all of them are recent and taken with flash or my bathroom with pretty strong lighting, the last pic is an a pretty normal lit condition, and the second last picture is a picture a month or two probably after i first noticed my hair loss, so what do you think?

Try vitamin D or hair transplant!

The last thing you should be considering is a hair transplant! See a doctor who specializes in hair loss and talk to him about your treatment options. You are way to young and too early in your hair loss to even think about a hair transplant. Be smart when you are doing your research. Take whatever information you get here or on other forums and cross reference it with a professional.

              Good luck!

Yeah i've been scouring alot of forums, just been difficult to find pictures of hairloss similar to mine ,seems diffuse, but most diffuse pattern I see usually have atleast some noticeable hair recession and the diffuse pattern seems uniform, where mine seems random, yet not extreme enough to be dupa and i'm going to see a specialist next week hopefully can map out and see if have miniaturization or not, so i can confirm, just hoping for feedback from people who have seen or experienced hair loss like mine

It could be the stress from getting into college~ I'm not trying to tell you that you dont have MPB, because that would be the last thing you want. I would say go to the doctor and see what's going on and lets hope that its something else. If you have MPB, its pretty much gg for your hair.
