Default Why do so many men waste money on Western Hair Transplants

Just wondering, in Western Europe or the US you could pay up to $10,000 and up for a HT, whereas in say India or Pakistan you could get the same procedure done for $2,000 or even less. It just doesn't make much sense to me given that clinics in the West charge extortionist rates per graft.

Are the results the same? Quality and safety? In addition to the safety of the procedure, how safe is it for an American to be in the Middle East?

With that being said, I am aware that there are plenty of American hair loss surgeons that will screw you up also.

These are all good points. I also wonder if the cost of living, employee saleries, and other daily expenses are much less there compared to here in the US.

I think its about convenience. Who wants to fly to India to have a transplant ?

We aint talking about a 100k procedure that you can get there for 15k .

What makes you think they are any less competent? Isn't everything in a country like India dirt cheap in comparison to the west? For instance you could probably buy a dozen cars for the same price you'd pay for one car in say a Western country. Same goes for property, food etc. dirt cheap in comparison to here. Wages are also a fraction of what they are in the West.

Why is it any different using your Western money to get a hair transplant for a fraction of the cost for the same procedure in the same way that you could buy up a few cheap properties in poorer countries to rent out etc? Also India and Pakistan, though poor are not Somalia or some rogue Mad max states. They have laws in place as well, in fact the same Common Law system that you have in the United States. So why do you think that they would get away with been butchers?

"rough mad max state" is exactly what Pakistan is.

I dont think they would 'butcher' you. I think you could easily storm back there to fix whatever plugs you are missing.

Its flying , getting a visa, getting the shots blah blah......for what?

Colorado hair institute charges $2 per graft. I am flying to Denver tomorrow to check out if its the real deal.

Nobody is going to tell me $2 is too much to pay and they need to fly to India to pay $1 per graft.

Let me put it that way: I had laser eye surgery in Belgium for 3000€. Why didn't I go to India?! I could have it done for like 1000€! You see how ridiculous this thread is now?
