When you start to see regrowth what should be expected???
Regardless if it be from Dut, Fin, Minoxidil, etc. if you start seeing vellus hairs appear where there were none prior to beginning treatment, how does the growth cycle work?
Will the hair regrowth process work in the reverse manner of the hair loss process? Example... will the vellus hairs fall out quickly at first, but with each time they return during the anagen phase, will the growth cycle extend and the hairs become thicker, darker and longer?

Thank you for the laugh, but I am hoping someone will be able to provide a serious answer to my question.

There is no serious answer, sorry.
Regrowth is regrowth; it'a unlikely. Terribly unlikely, in fact. Someone who responds in an ideal fashion to FDA approved medications might see this.
Do you see now why you're not getting a serious response? It's just not the norm, my friend.

I am sorry, but I do not understand your response.
When you say, "Regrowth is regrowth" does this mean that the returning hair immediately comes in just as thick in diameter and the same color as your "normal" hair color and that it returns to what was your normal growth cycle prior to MPB?
I also question your comment that, "Someone who responds in an ideal fashion to FDA approved medications might see this". What exactly are you referring to that someone might be seeing?
I have to believe there is an answer to my question. There is a clearly defined answer with respect to the process that occurs as a result of "standard" MPB, so would there not be information that relates to the process of hair that begins to return? Thank you

I think 'regrowth' would be the thickening up of hairs that have been thinned by DHT - In my view, if the hair is so far gone that it is like peach fuzz then it is unlikely that fin will help much. However, if the hair is just started thinning i.e. lost a bit of pigment and is a bit wispy, then I think that its possible, if DHT is significantly decreased to the follicles via fin, that these hairs could thicken slightly. Thus giving the appearance of ''regrowth''
In terms of timescales - personally I would say MINIMUM 6 months but more likely between 12-18 months. Thats if you get any 'regrowth' at all, most people on fin just get maintenance in the long term, but everyone is slightly different.
Recently I've been thinking in a way of: when a baby is born, they generally have very fine wispy hair almost like DHT affected hair, this hair doesn't fully turn into 'thick' terminal hair till about the age of say 3? (I've not had kids so I'm no expert!!) So it's not unreasonable to assume that it could take 3 years of no DHT affected follicles to possibly return to growing to terminal hairs.

This link from Dr. Bernstein's website provides an idea of what regrowth might look like;
