This fellow came in last year for a plug repair. With his hair an inch long, he looked ok from a distance, but in fact he really had limited hair up front and his hairline was weak. He had a really tight scalp from previous work and it was a struggle to get his scalp closed, taking 3 layers and even then he was TIGHT.
We cut his existing plug hair to ½ inch so as to facilitate slit making right up to but not into the roots of his already paid for and growing plug hair. Once cut, you can really see how little hair he actually had up front.
We made lots of slits in the front, but skipped an area, at his direction, that had some coverage, just behind the left anterior-lateral hairline.
He came in at 6 months and was thickening up. His wife emailed in these pictures from 9 months showing a nice improvement. And his scar, despite the tension early on, really looks great.
Also shown are intraop, 1 week, 3 month, and 7 month pics that she sent in.
