Hi every one,

I'm a 33 yo french guy. I recently got a fue in belgium (First HT for me).
I guess I was a NW II/III (without crown problem)
Around 2500 graph were transplanted I think (still waiting for the operative report to give you the specifics)
I post this thread at I'm 10 days post op.

My concerns at the moment :

• How long until I can go out without a bandana ?
• Sould I get rid of my scabs / crusts ? (not sure what's the difference)
• When can I shedule a meeting with my friend "safely" ? Will they notice ? etc.

Was Dr. Mwamba your doctor? If so, he has a spray that speeds crust removal. At 10 days post op, the crusts are usually loose from the scalp and just "glued" to your hair shafts. Post Biotin spray softens the crusts and helps them to come off quicker in the shower. Once the crusts come off, there may be some pinkness but it usually doesn't attract attention face to face with people. Related to the bandana, you should protect your head from too much sun exposure after a transplant. In other words, don't get a sunburn.

It's possible that the area will be pink for several weeks after the crusts come off, but I think that covering your head when in the sun is extremely important for the first couple of months after your surgery. The skin on the recipient area is going to be much more sensitive for a while then on the rest of your face which will make it more prone to possible damage from the sun.
