Default 18 years old on finastride rate my hairloss

Hey guys I am not sure if I have MPB so i came here to see if you guys could give me some opinions on my hairloss(if i have it). On my mothers side of the family everyone is bald(cousins, uncles, grandparents, siblings). I panicked when i found out about MPB and went to the dermatologist to get some finastride.(propecia) I have only been on for 2 weeks so i havent noticed much difference. I am experiencing no negative effects so far. Anyways heres the pictures

Maybe some hair loss on the temples, but not very much. I won't deny you losing any though, you would know more than anybody else. Good job jumping on fin. You probably saved yourself a lot of hair.

    Thumbs up

Hi kobeb24, Your hair looks GREAT.
IF you feel that you have been experiencing hair loss or hair thinning then I would agree with Notcoolanymore , its good that you began using Finasteride.
I would suggest to you that when you take Fin' daily you use the same mindset as you would a multivitamin!
Do NOT get caught up with possibilities of any side effects from its use.
Forget about it as you go throughout your day, every day.
IF you experience anything from it good or bad,,you will know it.
And as Spencer Kobren has said on his live show many many times,,DO NOT spend tons of your time here at this or any other hair loss forum focusing on the negative possibilities.
It would be like going online to WebMD...
Good luck young man..I feel you will be A-OK.

I would consult your doctor. I do not feel comfortable advising an 18 year old on medication that alters his testosterone .I would leave it to the medical professionals.

I am sure their answer would be yes to various degrees if they felt it was safe for you.

Just wanting to update this topic to say that I added Azaelic Acid and S5 cream(Topical Spironolactone 5%) to my daily regimen. What do you guys think about minoxil?

I've used minox every day for the past 4 months. Some regrowth, but nothing to write home about. Again, it has only been 4 months. If I were you I would add minox to my regimen, as long as you can commit to applying it twice a day. If you can't do that, then I wouldn't bother with it.
