    Default Proscar v. Propecia

I recently switched from Propecia to Proscar, and it *seems* like I've had an increase in shedding. Is there any reason to think that switching from one to the other with no taper could cause a shed? I'm using the branded, not generic, and my impression is that they're pharmacologically equivalent.
