any updates on who is doing this form of SMP (trico-pigmentation) here in the US? there was some information about a clinic opening up in New York but haven't heard much about that lately.
Just read through this entire thread with a great deal of interest. You may not be aware, but there are a great many SMP providers now open in the US, beyond hair transplant docs. IMO the specialist companies are publishing FAR better results. It is, after all, what they do 100% of the time.

Here are the common problems with SMP/tricopigmentation.
1.) Dots too large
2.) Hairlines placed too low
3.) Hairline shape isn't natural
4.) Dots do not match the hair color
5.) Hairline appears too strong
Get any of these wrong and people are going to be staring at your head. It takes a lot more work to get it right and I have yet to see anyone simulate hair emerging from the scalp in a convincing way. Fortunately these modern inks fade with time.
For what these places charge, they should be producing absolute works of art.
