Saw Palmetto..
Has anyone used this stuff and benefitted from it? Would I be wasting my time trying it? Thanks.

no it didn't do a single thing and honestly I was all about giving natural shiit a try. Wish it worked though

Thanks, damn it - I was hoping it'd help, wasn't holding my breath tho.

Saw Palmetto does work, but the results are minimal and they take a long time to show through (12 - 18 months of continuous usage) people just end up taking propecia instead.
But finasteride and me just simply dont go, the only option I have is minox... which would produce results pathetic at best.
I dont feel so bad about hair loss now that I know I truly have no means of stopping it/saving my hair etc.

Did you try 0.25 mg fin EOD or twice weekly in the end UK?

I took 520mg of standardized extract (85%-95% sterols, esters) for 6 months straight and all I experienced was constant shedding. I was losing roughly 150 hairs a day with no end in sight. I gave it an honest shot since at the time I wasn't willing to try Finasteride but it really set me back.
If I were you brah I wouldn't mess around with these unproven alternative treatments. They're hit or miss and only a very lucky few show a positive response to them.

Question for Saw Palmetto Users
Hi, all.
I'm actually curious about saw palmetto results myself. I've recently started taking it and been on minox since January. I've also gone on an all natural diet. I'm mostly a raw vegan and put as little chems and toxins in my body as I can. I've also made a huge investment into a ton of supplements and plan to document my hair issues on my new blog.
But my questions are, for those who used saw and say it didn't work:
1. How long were you using saw palmetto for?
2. Did you use anything else along with the saw palmetto (minox, pygeum, nettle root, silica, pumpkin seed oil, anything else that supposed to suppress DHT)?
3. What is your diet like?
4. Have their been people who appeared on the forum, said it worked and then disappeared because they are no longer troubled by hair loss and therefore don't need to be here? haha
I think that's all the questions. I've spent the past few days researching online about regrowing hair naturally. I believe that there's a natural cure for everything and the reason only propecia is available is because the drug companies make it that way. I saw a report that saw palmetto works. If too many people turn to naturals then obviously Merck stands to lose a lot of money - they don't want you to be natural. They want you be dependent on their nasty chemicals. That's my belief. I'll let you know when I start my blog and delve into my experiment with naturals.
