Here is a patient of mine who received 2633 grafts via FUT to the frontal scalp, mid scalp, and crown. About 70% of the grafts were placed in the frontal and mid scalp and about 30% in the crown. My preference is always to put more grafts in the frontal and mid scalp on the initial procedure and then to add density throughout on additional procedures. This patient has an excellent result after 1 year and is very happy. With a second procedure we could increase the density significantly. I have also shown the donor region post procedure with the patient's hair cut to a #3 buzz cut and there is no evidence of the linear scar, despite the fact that the patient has very fine hair and the hair is very light. I have also separated the hair to show where the donor scar is located.
