Proscar v Propecia

Hey guys,

I have just started taking Proscar and they are 5mg tablets that i cut into quarters and i take 1 quarter every day. I would just like to know, is proscar 5mg cut into quarters as effective as propecia 1mg tablet?

Just as effective or perhaps just a bit more so. A 1/4 Proscar is 1.25mg as opposed to a single Propecia which is only 1mg. Just enjoy the extra cash in your pocket.

I take the same thing. Actually generic proscar. Also cutting them into 1/4's. As far as I know it is finasteride which is pretty much the same stuff as Propecia. My only concern is whether taking 1.25mg instead of 1mg is safe since it is more finasteride than is prescribed for hair loss.

I understand the potential sides with fin, but does taking .25 more put me at any additional risk.
