Should I try DUT even though Propecia gave me side effects?
what do you guys think? worth a shot?
anyone have gyno from fin and then try dut with no sides?
-
My view on Dut is like my view on gay marriage, don't knock it till you've tried it.

this has been brought up many times recently..people claiming less sides or different sides with dut and fin...
personally I don't see how one could have sides with fin and not dut, that doesn't make sense.

Option 1) Take the risk and try it.
On the one hand if it's all fine then your hair loss will slow down and you will stay similar to how you are now for longer.
One the other hand you may experience sides and then you're back to square one (or worse if the sides stick around).
Option 2) Glue glue someone elses hair to your head.....
On the one hand your hair will look just how you want for the rest of your life (and let's face it, you will probably do it anyway eventually even if you delay it with meds).
On the other hand you'll be earning less money per year and will need to take more care of your hair than before and have a 1 hour appointment every month.
Option 3) Go bald gracefully.
Pretty much all positives here. But let's face it, none of us are secure enough to be able to do this one.

So... wait..... okay.

Finasteride has the same chemical profile as Dutasteride iny Dutasteride is far more powerful and stays in the body longer than Finasteride where at 1mg Finasteride stays in the body for less than 8 hours. Dutasteride stays in the body for almost a month in the blood serum. A month. And if you have sides with Finasteride the likelihood is that you will almost definitely have sides with Dutasteride and it will take you longer to get rid of them if you do at all....
I did not have sides with Fin and now on Dutasteride I do not have sides after using it for two months straight now and my hair is on the mend... I would suggest if you have Fin sides you might invest in Regenepure or Nizoral along with Rogaine 5% foam and then on top of that you might try RU as a topical alternative. Or go bald gracefully.

It isn't a cast iron rule, but if you have sides on Fin then I think it's likely that Dut will also give you side effects.

Supposing gyno is my only side and, from what I've read, gyno does not return after surgery, I'll probably just get surgery and take Dut. I had no other sides on finasteride.
