Alternative Treatment
Would this be beneficial as I don't want to take propecia/minox, due to bad experience.

Can't take fin or minox? Is there anything besides those two that has been proven to work?

I had a terrible experience with finasteride, i'd like to attempt small doses but i just can't after last time. I'm only using Nizoral at the moment, I do supplement vitamins and use good shampoos. I'm pretty certain I won't have much luck unless I lower DHT, but i don't want it to cost my sex life. I have quiet thick hair, though recession is pretty progressively harder to hide probably about a Norwood 2.5 with minor crown.

I understand your concerns about taking fin. Took me so long to get over the fear that it cost me most of my hair. I tried to find natural supplements, but really had no luck. It just really sucks that there is no variety of treatments available. It's not like balding is a new problem people are suffering with, and not everybody responds to what is available.

yeah certainly, i'd rather lose my hair than take finasteride after the experience I had with it.

Yes, you do have the option of topical androgens such as cb0301 and ru58841, etc. You can experience side effects with them due to systemic absorption. In most cases, the sides were temporary, hours to few days. Unfortunately, no long term studies were conducted on safety. I would say they be as effective as fin. Also, these treatments are not fda approved. I also will recommend dermaroller with minox and nizoral. If you decide to get back on finasteride just take .25 mg every three days, this may lower dht levels to help with hair loss with less sides.
It is a shame that we dont have much to combat mpb.
