    Default Help, Advice needed

    Hi all,

    Firstly WHY MEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Right, that's that. Im 19 and have realised i need to do something about going bald quick. I noticed i had a receding hairline that was well under way last year before i went to uni. Over the course of the past 6 months the hairline (i think) hasn't progressed but the thinning of my hair has and the balding around my crown is starting to become visible.

Whilst I was waiting for my profile to be validated I ordered Regaine extra strength (panic buy) but it was 85 quid for a 6 months supply from pharmacy 4u or something like that which looked like a good deal. Now i have been using it for the last few days and i think there is hair regrowth on my hairline but that could be my eyes deceiving me!

The pictures flatter me a bit. The crown especially is a lot worse than what it looks.

I want to embrace the baldness but i honestly can't face up to it. I think its the fact im so young and i will be the first in my friends to go bald.

Im am posting this because I have got A LOT of questions to ask so it would be reassuring if you guys could give me answers and adive?

Firstly how do i know my hair loss is genetics or high DHT levels or whatever it is and not due to an illness or stress?

Looking at my pictures what would you recommend i do?

For treatments such as propecia and Regaine are these long term solutions? Will they re grow the hair for a long time to come? Does it halt the hair loss for as long as i take it? How long does the hair loss halt last for after i stop taking these?

Any other treatments you would recommend?

You're not going bald. No man on this planet has kept a juvenile state of hair, that's like saying there are 40 year old men walking around that havent physically aged since early puberty.
