    Default Bosley Medical Violations

Saw this link on another thread:
    http://www.bosleymedicalviolations.com/

What jumped out at me wasn't so much that Bosley should be avoided, but that many of the criticisms on this page could apply to non-Bosley doctors as well.

Risks of permanent scarring, permanent shock loss, limited donor hair, "illusion of hair", you're better off waiting for future treatments, and so on.

This reads more like an indictment of FUT than Bosley (though there are specifics criticisms of Bosley here).

After going through the page, my thoughts weren't so much "don't go to Bosley" as they were: "never *ever* get FUT".

    Thoughts?

It's more the doctor than the procedure you should compare and choose. I did FUE and I am very happy with the results, but would rather go for FUT at a IAHRS surgeon than FUE in Turkey or some unknown...

FUE in the right hands is the way to go, but it depends on family history, age, the amount of hair loss etc.
    Cheers

I am supposed to be having a consultation with Hasson and Wong on Friday...

I have never been keen on FUT..........I think it is best to avoid altogether, if it did not work out I'd be in a serious mess.

I had a FUT done. The scar is miniscule. The doc is right though. My scalp was super tight for about 2 weeks I felt like I always had a hat on.

If I want to do another procedure, what difference does it make if they make the same incision ? It really is the price. I had mine done for $3 per graft.

I am going to Colorado to have another procedure done for $2 per graft in November. They are also going to do the procedure where the hair can grow right through the scar. We shall see.

Glad to hear that your strip scar turned out miniscule however you may not get the same doctor that you had last time with Bosley? Reading the proposed price, you might get a surgeon who is new to surgical hair restoration.

Not implying that they would switch you to a new surgeon but I hear about it enough that you want to know upfront who will be doing your next procedure.

The patient many times is not aware of the switch until the morning of surgery. The hair mills are at times notorious for playing musical chairs at the last minute.

I dont know if you were replying to me but assume you were. I am not going to Bosley. I am going to Colorado hair institute where they do $2 grafts.

    Thumbs up

Hey Sausage , H&W has historically seemed to set the Gold-standard for FUT surgery. FUT is not for everyone as we know. If you are a good candidate good luck to you. Im sure that you will be FINE.
Hi Dr Yates,,you too have seemed to have set the current Gold-standard for FUE surgery.
Dr Yates, have you spoken with Dr Wesley as yet?

$2 grafts? What do they charge for FUE?

In any case, I'm glad your result turned out well ... I don't know if I'd be willing to roll the dice on a discount clinic.

The first one was $3 fut and yeah i lucked out. I only had 1333 grafts put in. I gave her $4000 and she put in as many as she could for it. I only asked for 1000 grafts. She was Dr Marina Pizzaro in Orlando.

But now that I have the hairline that I had back when I was 20, I now need the density. I went and looked for complaints for Colorado hair restoration and even though I could find the company and its been around for years, it only has one complaint.

I did ripoff report, BBB amongst others even tried the old fashioned Google. Nothing.

So I am going for it. I already have the strip line, might as well use it again for the 2500 grafts for $5k and this time have the hair regrow through the scar line. We shall see how it goes.
